For 18 months, my art studio was my joy. A place where I discovered new parts of myself, hosted sacred gatherings, laughed, cried, healed…and quite literally danced my way through every moment of it.

When my life took a sharp turn a few months ago, I chose to close this beloved space with intention. I spent the last week there alone - feeling it all, reflecting, unscrewing 87 pieces of art with my own hands, playing the piano under the chandelier one last time (before moving that same chandelier to hang over my master bathtub like a little reminder of magic). I didn’t hire anyone to clean up before I moved out - I wanted to be the one rubbing down the walls, scraping splattered pink paint off random surfaces, remembering my journey.

Right before I locked the door for the last time, I did a final walkabout, and realized the bathroom mirror actually opened into a medicine cabinet. I found a hidden note my daughter wrote that said,

“Do today YOUR way. The best thing you can be is YOU.”

I immediately got tears in my eyes. And in that quiet moment, I remembered:

The studio isn’t the art or the artist.
I am.

The gatherings.
The healing.
The vulnerability.
The spirituality.
The relationships.
The art that poured out when words didn’t cut it.

Those are all divine pieces of who I am and they live inside me, wherever I go. The studio closed… but the artist remains, more alive than ever.

Art is healing. Music is medicine. And friendship is gold.

Thank you to each and every one of you who hired me to teach, to coach, to help heal, to photograph, to play music…
It has been one of the greatest joys of my little life.

Still in business, and still learning as I go.

10 minutes.

Nomatter how overwhelmed I am, how tight my body feels, how tired I am…. 10 minutes of yoga saves me.

It taps me into myself/God within me. It slows me down. It brings my brain and heart back to connection with my body. The body is where our intuition lives. Our 6th sense follows our 5 ones, when we slow down enough.

I heard in a whisper, the voice of God last year. She said: it’s already inside of you. How deeply you sink into the knowing of the moment is how loud you’ll hear me.

I used to judge people that propped their phones up and did videos. Now I join them, to share in this community. My rule is that I’ll only video myself if it’s something I’m already doing. I ain’t putting on a show for you people. If I do that I’ll go be a stand up comedian on a stage and REALLY put on a show and charge all y’all 😅😂.

This is just my little life. And in this age of robots and influencers, let’s look in the mirror and create something REAL. Join me?
